There are a a lot of great things about our barbershop but one of the best parts of it is the traditional straight razor shave. Using the heat from the towels to soften up your beard & make the shave less irritating for the skin this classic ritual gets you the nicest closest comfortable shave and oh so stinking relaxing. The Hot Towel Shave was a lost art in Taranaki until we bought it back. Its an experience you must try at least once in your life if you call yourself a man.

Our Barbershop is a Barbershop offering the Royal Treatment from the moment you walk through the door to your departure. We specialise in old-style techniques using modern tools – from razor-fades, straight edge razor shaves, beard trims, patterns & braids/fades. Our barbers have a passion for male grooming and cutting edge trends. Our Barbershop is a great place to get a haircut, shop for the latest products or generally come and hang. Before, during or after your cut you can grab a coffee/healthy snack from our Barbershop Café. We offer Wedding Packages (including breakfast/beers) so the boys can be pampered and look sharp for their special day.
Our main focus is on tight fades inspired by the refined men’s styles of the 1920’s and 40’s however our barbers are capable of creating cuts from that edgy freestyle cut to that of the rockabilly style . Our shop pulses with warm energy and you’ll always hear a chorus of people speaking to one another with furious excitement. We pride ourselves on being part of the local community; taking an active interest in what’s going on locally and engaging our social conscience. Barber Kajin commenced his apprenticeship with us March 2017. Kajin has an eye for detail and a passion for barbering. Kajin is always looking for the next best thing in barbering and keen to give any new trends a go and even start his own. Kajin won the classic cut and the beard trim competitions of the apprentice divisions of Barbercraft in 2018.

Our boy wonder Master Barber Lachie completed his apprenticeship with us in December 2017. Lachie not only produces great work he is community minded and frequently giving his time for good causes such as gala days, school balls, surf life-saving events to name but a few. Lachie won the beard trim competition in the apprentice division of Barbercraft in 2017.

Originally from and trained in the Philippines Barber Joey comes to us with the sweetest likeable personality and eager to please. Joey has mastered the art of beard trimming, hot towel shaves, style cuts and patterns. Joey always goes the extra mile to ensure his clients are beaming with joy when they walk out the door.
Barber Elonn

Elonn is our newest recruit; coming to us in March 2019. Elonn comes to us already skilled having completed the practical Mr Barber training in Auckland. Elonn is keen as punch to hone his craft. Elonn is a friendly confident chap with a likeable personality and a flair for barbering. Elonn will give you a charming experience that will have you wanting to come back for more.
